Shade7's Freestanding Riviera Base is a strong and attractive freestanding cantilever umbrella base with internal caster wheels that are discreetly hidden inside the base. We have engineered this moveable base to effectively support your Shade7 Riviera cantilever umbrella while allowing you to easily move it around from one location to another. (Weighs approx. 160-180kg once filled with gravel/builder mix - not included.)
Shade7's Freestanding Riviera Half Base is a superior alternative to a traditional cantilever freestanding umbrella base – this is our latest design where the umbrella fixes in front of the base and at ground level. This provides more usable space under the umbrella and keeps the base of the umbrella at ground height. Designed for the Shade7 Riviera cantilever umbrella. (Pavers not included, 8x Pavers 50 x 50 x 5cm needed for base)
Shade7 Riviera umbrellas can be installed into a paved patio, garden or lawn with our in-ground fitting. We supply instructions on how to dig the correct size hole, pour the concrete and set the fitting into the concrete.
Shade7's premium 316 stainless steel base plate increases the strength of any umbrella installation onto deck or patio. Although optional in some installations, such as onto untiled concrete patios, using a base plate is recommended for all deck installations, and for installations onto tiled concrete. Base plates are a requirement for all composite deck installations, and for the 4.5m Riviera Premium cantilever onto deck or concrete patio.
Shade7 Riviera umbrella can be easily bolted down to a concrete patio. This method looks great, offers excellent stability and no space is wasted in your outdoor area. We supply these concrete screws, which are 316 stainless steel.
Shade7 Riviera umbrella can be bolted to a reinforced timber deck with our 316 stainless steel decking bolts, with marine grade durability and excellent stability.

We do our best to make sure the colours in our photos are spot-on, but let’s be honest —screens can be tricky. Depending on your display, those colours might have a mind of their own. We suggest seeing it for yourself in-store for the authentic, in-person vibe —because nothing beats the real deal!
